Rush Hour won't appeal to more die hard Jackie Chan fans but it is a pretty funny movie. In the beginning, he was a knowledgeable cop as the movie progressed, they portrayed him as an amateur. Chris Tucker was funny but Jackie Chan was hard to tell. However, unlike Jackie Chan movies, Rush Hour actually has good acting and, thank God, no dubbing. There is still some of the Jackie Chan fighting but no where as much as typical Jackie Chan movies I was disappointed in that aspect. Gone is the constant array of high-intensity stunts and fighting humor instead, Rush Hour delivers strong acting, high budget, and incessant comedy. Rush Hour is a good movie but don't dare call it a Jackie Chan movie. Carter, frustrated with the pointless assignment, soon learns that keeping track of Lee is hardert han he first thought and he also acknowledges that the seemingly peaceful man is determined to bring back the girl alive. Unwilling to cooperate, however, the FBI brings in arrogant LAPD detective James Carter to watch over Lee and keep him out of the way.
